As WOMEN motorcyclists, we are not always accurately portrayed in the media as ALL the types of female riders that we meet through our women's riding clubs.
We are mothers, grandmothers, GREAT grandmothers, sisters, aunts, wives, and daughters. ALL professions, all shapes and sizes f women now ride their OWN motorcycle. The goal of this project is to show the faces of the many different variations of the REAL women who REALLY ride. To encourage other women who may have wanted to ride, but perhaps did not know that so many women they might now guess by looks alone, also ride. The project goals is to unite women riders and to enlighten the public to who WE are.
There are many boks currently on the market about women in motorcycling. The majority of these books are intruiging stories about the women, but primarily more text than photos. This project will focus on capturing the essence of women riders in rich black and white fine art style portraiture, suitable for gallery showing, and for a memorable book each woman participating in the project can be proud to own. |
