Let the blogging begin
I had planned to begin blogging today, but have so far been unable to import my Emoticons. I don't see how I can properly express myself, or convey my emotions to the reader without them, so this blog is being temporarily suspended. Does anyone know how to import Emoticons? (The previous sentence was typed with a sense of fury--do you see what I mean?)

I love "The Beast That Swallows Its Young", and also the other two videos you have on Youtube. Impressive editor's reel. I'll be watching the videos on your website shortly. Awesome stuff! Please, keep up the good work.

Following your student loan video to Russia Journals 1, I now have to ask you this:
Why the heck aren't you famous yet? Like, famous, capital F, Famous, that kind of famous. Your work is fantastic.
Also: Don't feel too bad about not writing back to Seva. He complicated your relationship beyond the point where it would be worthwhile to explain, when he prodded you for money. I wouldn't care to write to him either in that circumstance.
His misunderstanding is that he thinks the average American can bring their wealth _with_ them when they travel. But American wealth is held in the collective structures and attitudes of every American, bound together in cities, wiring, and laws. Rich relative to him? "Of course we are", as you say. Not because of what's in your room, but because of what's around it. But an American couple in a foreign land is stripped of that wealth and as vulnerable as anyone else. Seva was being tactless at the last minute and I wouldn't be surprised if Emma chewed him out after you left...
Anyway, good work on this. I was just thinking the other day about how little I know of Russia, even though my ancestors were peasant farmers there (before Catherine The Great betrayed them and they shipped out for Oklahoma)...

Great! Thanks for this! I found this site from Google, I've already bookmarked this site and of course will revisit again. Thanks again!
