Marazon Professional Development
The Marazon Institute I is a dynamic three-day training that gives early and middle
childhood professionals an in-depth look into The Marazon System. The Marazon System
Database Training is a one-day hands on training that gives teachers the necessary skills to
teach and use the Marazon Database in classroom, family childcare, and home visitor
programs.
The Marazon System Institute gives professionals the necessary knowledge and skills to
engage in authentic assessment and individualized planning using a systematic approach
that is focused on individualizing curriculum in order to meet the emerging needs and
interests of children on a day-to-day basis.

The Trainer of Trainer’s Institute is a dynamic FIVE-DAY training that gives current
Marazon practitioners an in-depth look into the use of Early and Middle Childhood
Development principles and theories as the foundation for Marazon System practices.
This Institute presents detailed information about the six Marazon Domains as presented
in The Marazon System.
The Affective Domain will focus on Erikson, Piaget, and Kohlberg as a reference point.
The Social Domain will present Parten’s Play categories, the Stages of Friendship, and
conflict resolution strategies. Creative development will explore Torrence’s theory of
creativity. The Cognitive Domain will emphasize Piaget, Vgyotsky, Bandura, Skinner,
and Rogers as well as the most recent research related to information processing and
brain development. The Language Domain presentations will look at theories of
language acquisition and stage-related competencies as will the Physical Domain
treatment.
Institute II will also enliven and deepen participants’ understanding of the steps of The
System as well as the “tools” or forms of The System. Finally, this Institute will present
a variety of coaching and mentoring strategies for those who train and supervise
Marazon practitioners.
