Renee A. Marazon
Renee Alda Marazon received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ursuline
College in Pepper Pike, Ohio and a Master of Education degree from
Bowling Green State University. Ms. Marazon held a faculty position at
Lourdes College in Sylvania Ohio from 1983 to 1997. While
Chairperson of the Early Childhood Department at Lourdes, she
designed a birth-to-grade-three degree and certificate program. She
founded and developed two child development centers-one in 1976 and
another, hospital sponsored, in 1985.

Renee Marazon, along with her husband, David Marazon are founding board members of The
Maritime Academy of Toledo and Victory Academy of Toledo. Currently she serves as
superintendent for the academies. She also serves on the State of Ohio, Department of
Education, Public Charter School Program, Advisory Board.
Ms. Marazon has also served as a consultant to Family Communications, Inc. (Mister Rogers'
Neighborhood) and was a member of the Puzzle Place Outreach Advisory Board (KCET,
California PTV). Additionally, she has served as a consultant to the Corporation for Public
Broadcasting. Ms. Marazon has been a popular speaker at local, state, and national
conferences.
From 1997 to 2005, she served as an Air Force Trainer and Consultant to spread the news of
The Marazon System. She is widely published in the field of education in what is known as
“The Marazon System. In addition to her educational books, Ms. Marazon has been
published in professional journals including Young Children and the Training and
Development Journal.
Ms. Marazon has also authored Catholic publications including Deliverance Prayer: A Matter
of Wisdom, Discernment, and Obedience and “The Simple Blessing Prayer”, The Catholic
Handbook of Child Growth, Development, and Learning, and Renewing The Renewal—A
Firestorm In The Catholic Church and is published in Pentecost Today.
She has served as Healing Ministry Coordinator, Ministry to Catholic Charismatic Renewal,
Diocese of Toledo, from 1986-1991 and again from 1996 to the present. She has presented
workshops at national and local Catholic conferences and has ministered in Trinidad as well
as across the U.S. giving retreats, missions, days of renewal, and seminars and speaking at
conferences on topics related to healing, prayer, parish and Church renewal, the mystics,
growth in the Spirit, raising children for heaven, moral and spiritual development.
She is a gifted teacher and motivational speaker, passionate about the gift of the Church,
filled with zeal for living in the Spirit, dedicated to helping others encounter the living Christ,
and eager to support others in their journey to know the Father’s Love.
In her varying roles, she expresses a passion for the child that draws others to continually
see each child as a unique gift from God. Her message is constant-- “Look to the child.
Check in with the child. See the child as competent and gifted.” She is married to David.
They have four children and six grandchildren.
