Greetings,  Buona Sera Ristorante & Bar announces
our new Head Chef.  Chef Francesco Gazzana comes to
us from Milan.  Although he has lived in the US, he
attended the University in Milano, graduating with a
degree in culinary.  Chef Francesco is world travelled,
having been in the position of Head Chef and Executive
Chef in such places as Ischia, Naples, Antwerp, St.
Albans, London and Sau Paulo to name a few.  He has
brought along Sous Chef Mario Mendoza who was a
lead cook at the Summit and Cafe 19 at Harrah's, with
experiences at Evans in South Lake Tahoe and La Petit
Pier in Tahoe Vista.

Beginning Wednesday, February 18, Buona Sera
launches a new menu, with many of your favorites
returning.  New items include crab cakes, calamari,
and scallops in orange cream sauce.  Salads will include
romaine, organic greens and spinach.  Pastas are in
two prices ranges (appetizer or main course) including
a varied list of risottos.  Our new lasagna will include
handmade spinach noodles and hours cooked
bolognese sauce.  We have added Veal Saltimbocca
too.  Our chicken is now organic as well as many of our
greens and vegetables.  Whenever possible we will
locally source our greens and vegetables, especially
during the summer and fall
Welcome to Buona Sera Ristorante, which in Italian means “good evening”
and that is what we want you to have while you slow dine here as you
would in Italy.  Our cooking is a style that emphasizes the perfume and
flavor of nature, creating harmony for the senses and spirit without over
manipulation or presentation.  We search for the best quality natural and
organic ingredients and when possible we source locally.  The wines and
spirits have been chosen to pair with our dishes.  Our staff is dedicated to
making your experience a “Buona Sera”.
